The first of 3 / 6 track releases for the planet Saturn, "Kronos Aquarius Part i: Satan”. Looking at the darker, denser and immature natures of the Saturnain archetypes.
Part i: Satan (06.06.2022)
Part ii: Solomon (09.09.2022)
Part iii: Sage (12.12.2022)
Satan is the materialist. Who is bound and enslaved by the material dimensions and physical delights and sensualities. Immature and rebellious against discipline and structure, it is consumed by the chaos and feels oppressed by life itself. It is Saturns lowest state. Often is depicted as “Pan”, “Baphomet” and “The Devil”. Religion has misconstrued this archetype, making it into evil, embodying our states of fear, or resistance to integrate cosmic intelligence and remain in ignorance or arrogance (Saturn also rules over our fears which we are called to face to grow and evolve), but its misery guides us to self control and self reliance out of oppression and codependency/addiction and to have faith in a cosmic intelligence (faith) that is beyond our intellectual arrogance, or limited material perceptions.
Saturn is visually the most majestic of planets but also references Capricornicus and the devil archetype in its more predatory and lower vibrations. These Saturn planet episodes start with the servant (Satan), who feels oppressed and finds new ways to break the chains of their perceived dictatorship and control. To do this he/she/they must work to find a discipline that creates self reliance and self control. From Satan, who is the enslaver, the student rebels against the master and finds new ways for evolution and innovation. A necessary exchange of both skill and structure from the discipliner (parent/teacher/government) and in the tension of oppression, finding new expressions in the student that also teach the teacher. But then the student must work hard to be free. Freedom through self-awareness and mastery of thoughts/emotion/discipline is not given, it is earned. And therefore Saturn is the planet that encourages us to master our chosen craft or manifestations to gain the freedom we perceive we are being oppressed by our master, teacher, guru or government. The student then becomes the one who begins the painful task of mastery. To forge greatness of which the universe calls all of us to do. Often that involves harsh failures, setbacks and karmic cause and effect where we learn our actions have consequences, ultimately to work with awareness and intention. This can be painful and why Saturn is seen as malefic, karmic, heavy and lead (THE LORD OF KARMA). But this oppression only gifts us with ingenuity. If we work with our limitations and decide not to be defined by them, we often discover new paths to freedom through process and mastery.
Once we have mastered our chosen path, discipline or order - we become the teacher (usually at later age, depending on our level of Saturnian mastery and ingenuities) - encouraged to share our experience down and provide help to future students. Here Saturn is the sage, the wizard, those who have achieved greatness, ingenuity, innovation and mastery over their discipline. For this Saturn rewards great karma, freedom and cosmic creative control. But to have this we must first learn self control. Overcome patterns of addiction and where we inhibit ourselves. Face our karmic lessons and learn to integrate failure in our unique paths for success. These three epochs of student / teacher / sage are our Saturn cycles or “Saturn Returns”. It takes 28-29 years for saturn to make one circle around our birth point and so, splits our life into these important cycles of time. Also why Saturn is often referenced as the “timekeeper”.
KRIS VANGO's vision is to map and document our solar system through narrative sound, dedicating an album to each planetary
body. Sonically, Kris traverses a cross pollination and re-evolution of club music’s sonic textures, with a re-connecting of the Shamanic origins of uniting collectives into a shared experience–utilising genre and collaboration as tools to explore varying planetary landscapes....more
